What is BIS?
BIS stands for Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies. It is a degree program designed to incorporate
two areas of study and combine them into one degree. It is similar to having a double major except that the work load
is not as extensive. This degree has many purposes. It is designed for students who are undecided between two
majors, it is also for students who feel that they will have a better chance to achieve their career goals by
recieving a degree that focuses on the theory that by incorporating aspects from each field of study involved in their career
path, they will be better prepared to obtain the job they desire.
